I know that taking the initial step to get a therapist can seem like a daunting prospect, especially when life events and our responses to them can leave us feeling stuck, confused or overwhelmed; it can sometimes seem like there is no clear way forward! I provide a calm, collaborative and empathic space, where you can feel safe enough to work through what's bothering you at your own pace. As a Gestalt therapist, I will work with you to raise awareness of your difficulties: this can enable you to have a greater sense of insight, agency and choice into how you experience and take action in your world.
I have seven years of clinical experience working with people experiencing difficulties that include Trauma, Anxiety, ADHD, Bereavement, Depression, Relationship issues, Stress, Emotional Disturbances and Low Self-Esteem. My gestalt approach is trauma informed (I have just completed 12 days of further professional training in Somatic Trauma Therapy) and based upon having an honest, compassionate and open dialogue between therapist and client.
If you decide to get in touch, I can offer you a brief informal 15 minute chat over the phone to discuss what you may need going forward. We may then arrange an initial session so that you can get a flavour of how we may work together and whether I am the right choice of therapist for you! I look forward to hearing from you!
